Greetings Apollos X!

Welcome to the Apollos blog! We've packed a lot of resources into this site, all designed to help you get the most out of your time in class.

The online resources to the right are all approved resources, feel free to use them as you see fit.

Our first class for the men will be on Oct 10 at 7:30 PM, in the middle room of the Townhouse. Ladies will begin on Oct 17, same time, same place. You'll want to have your books with you but this will be the only time you'll need to bring them to class.

For your first assignment, give us a snapshot of Apollos, to the left of Paul in the image on the right.

Here's how to do this.

Using your Strong's Concordance, look up "Apollos" and find out which Scripture verses speak of him, read those verses and make a few notes.

Next, look at your Vine's, in the New Testament (NT) section, not the Old Testament (OT) in front of the book and look up "Apollos". Did you find it? No! But, at least you found out that Vine's is divided into NT and OT sections :)

Now, look "Apollos" up in your Smith's Bible Dictionary, where everything is nicely alphabetized. Read the short article on him and add to your notes.

Finally, write a paragraph or two about who Apollos was, describing his story as best you can.

You're on your way!

Please email your homework to:
     John Kuvakas - kuvakas@gmail.com
     Peter Ristau - pristau@mac.com
Lois Ristau (ladies only) - lvristau@gmail.com

We'll need your assignments no later than 24 hours prior to class so we can review them and provide input. This is not a pass/fail class. Most of the input you will receive will be designed to get you thinking a little deeper and will not require a response unless we specifically ask for one.

Looking forward to seeing you in class!
