Assignments For Session #5

Last night's men's class was great! We had some challenging discussions and I think we all learned something!

Our next Men's class is Dec 13, Women's Dec 20. Here are the assignments due for those classes. 

•Words & Phrases

Use Charts,  Strong’s, Vine’s, Smith’s Bible Dictionary and   Nave’s Topical Bible to define the following; limit your   definitions to two paragraphs:

    Predestination

    Grace

    Forgiveness

•Prepare a paper on Statement of Faith Article 6 - The Holy Spirit 

•Reading assignment

  The Canons of Dort, 3 & 4 main Points, Articles 6-17

•Personal Scripture Passage

  Continue to Identify Key Words

  Begin to define them, using your resources

We have two volunteers who will do a short, 3-5 minute  presentation on "impart/impartation" and "impute/imputation". Recommended resources are "Systematic Theology" by Wayne Grudem and "Charts of Doctrine and Theology".

This video by R. C. Sproul is a bit involved (only 7 minutes long) but clearly explains the difference between impartation (he calls it "infusion", same concept) and impartation in relation to our salvation/justification.
